DK Aggarwal
Managing Director
Mr. Aggarwal is a fellow member of the ICAI. He is also the Managing Director of
SMC Comtrade Limited, a Member of NCDEX and MCX. He has a extensive experience of
more than 15 years in securities and commodities markets. He manages, controls and
supervises a substantial part of the arbitrage business of the SMC Group in the
securities & commodities markets.
Shweta Aggarwal
Vice-Chairperson and Director
Shweta is an associate member of the ICAI. She also serves as a director with SMC
Wealth Management Services Ltd, a joint venture with Sanlam Group of South Africa.
She is responsible for the formation of, and spearheads the growth plans and business
strategy of the investment banking division.
OP Agrawal
Director
Mr. Agrawal has gained rich corporate finance experience of almost 3 decades in
various organizations and has a successful track record in debt restructuring with
Banks & FIs, Debt Syndication, Corporate Advisory, M&A and Buyout Advisory. He is
a fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and Institute
of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
Vikram Sheth
Director
Vikram has worked as Head of Equity Capital Markets at ICICI Securities and at Edelweiss
prior to joining SMC Capitals. His total experience of 14 years servicing Corporates
includes 13 years with the ICICI group. He was responsible for bringing a lot of
visibility to the Capital Markets business at Edelweiss (between 2006-07). He has
worked on transactions for very large reputed groups such as Godrej, Reliance ADAG,
Adanis, Sajjan Jindal etc. He has also demonstrated a problem solving approach and
guided many mid-cap companies for their fund raising plans. He has a wealth of investment
banking experience (especially in capital markets) across products like pre-IPOs,
IPOs, FCCBs, delisting, rights issues, capital structuring etc, as also syndication
of equity paper to investors.
Sonal Shah
Director
Sonal has experience of over 18 years across M&A Advisory, Equity Capital Markets,
Syndication and Private Equity. Prior to joining SMC Capitals, Sonal was Head of
the Industrials and Financial Services Advisory Practice at Macquarie Capital Advisors.
Earlier, she held the positions of CEO of the Food & Agribusiness Private Equity
Fund at Yes Bank and Director & Head- Strategic Advisory at Rabo India Finance (subsidiary
of Rabobank Netherlands). She has been an active member of Industry Panels for the
consumer, agribusiness and financial services sectors, at leading Indian Industry
Associations. Sonal holds a PGDM from IIM Kolkata and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics
(Honours) from Delhi University.
Rajeev Kalambi
Associate Director
Rajeev has over 12 years of experience in various facets of finance – consulting,
research and corporate & investment banking. Prior to joining SMC Capitals, he was
a corporate banker with HSBC and the Development Bank of Singapore followed by investment
banking stints at Edelweiss Capital and a boutique PE & M&A firm, during which he
concluded several transactions in corporate lending, structured finance, term lending
(onshore and offshore) and advised companies on corporate finance strategy and capital
raising. Rajeev received his master's degree from the Delhi School of Economics
and an MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.
Tejal Mamtora
Associate Director
Tejal has over 10 years of experience on Equity Capital Markets and is a strong
execution banker. She was earlier with CS Inga, IL&FS Investsmart and Axis bank’s
merchant banking division. During her last assignment with CS Inga, as a group head
- capital markets, she led the execution for various transactions and successfully
completed various Initial Public Offers, Rights Issues, Qualified Institutional
Placements, Open Offer mandates and other advisory mandates. She has completed over
40 transactions in these areas till date. Tejal is a commerce graduate and a Company
Secretary by profession.
Gaurav Davda
Vice President
Gaurav has over 6 years of experience in Investment Banking and Corporate Advisory
& has worked across the entire spectrum of Investment Banking products such as M&A,
ECM, PE Advisory etc. He has been involved in transactions upwards of US$1.2 bn.
Previously, Gaurav worked with the Corporate Strategy team at TCS Ltd and also played
a key role at Prime Securities Ltd. He has a marquee network among Funds, Corporates
and Advisors alike. Gaurav holds an MBA from SPJIMR and also a degree in Securities
Law from Government Law College, Mumbai. He is currently pursuing his CAIA as well.
Satish Mangutkar
Vice President
Satish has a rich experience of over 9 years in Merchant Banking services. Prior
to joining SMC he worked with Keynote Corporate Services Ltd. As part of the corporate
and investment banking group, he has worked with a number of clients for various
merchant banking services. He has strong liaisoning capabilities with regulators
such as SEBI and Stock Exchanges. He possesses in-depth knowledge of processes involved
in public issues, rights issues, substantial acquisition & takeovers and buyback
of equity shares.
Himanshu Anand
Associate Vice President
Himanshu has over 8.5 years of experience spanning IT Services, Manufacturing and
Investment Banking. He has worked extensively on cross-border M&A advisory and growth
capital raising. Prior to joining SMC Capitals, he was working with Meghraj Capital
Advisors, where he was heading the Technology vertical. His prior stints include
working with Henkel India and Infosys Technologies on various assignments in India
and abroad. He is a Chemical Engineer from Thapar Institute and an MBA (Finance
and Strategy) from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
Amol Mane
Associate Vice President
Amol has over 5 years of experience in Private equity, M&A and consulting. Prior
to joining SMC Capitals, he was with M&A team of Bennett, Coleman and Co. where
he worked on various transactions for capital raising, acquisitions, JVs etc in
the media space for the group. Amol also has led various private equity deals in
the B2C space and has good understanding of the media and consumer sectors. Prior
to this, he has worked with companies like Inductis and Deloitte in the consulting
roles. Amol is a graduate from IIT Bombay and MBA from IIM Bangalore.
